Salty Dogs is a plug that comes in a pouch as a small compact pressed block. Selected sweet Virginias with a hint of Louisiana Perique, refined with Caribbean rum, have been aged for a long time in a press. The result is a dark brown, full-bodied, and pleasant pipe plug that offers you a cool and smooth smoke. The flavor welcomes you with fruity-sweet notes reminiscent of raisins soaked in rum, and a touch of Perique that adds a spicy nuance. This combination is a true experience and will delight you.

You need not worry about the preparation for filling the bowl; I slice the plug with a sharp knife into flakes, which I then break apart with my fingers, let sit for 15 minutes, and pack into the bowl in the traditional way, usually more gently based on my experience.
