Invitation to the traditional slow smoking competition in České Budějovice

Invitation to the next edition of the Budějovice competition in the words of the organizers (1st Pipe Club of the Royal City of České Budějovice) and the club president Jiří Plecer.

We cordially invite all esteemed pipers and friends of honest tobacco to the pipers' bow " Smoking under the Black Mountain ", held in the royal city of České Budějovice.

When: March 28, 2026

Registration: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Start of the competition: 2:00 PM.

Where the competition takes place: KTC Gerbera, Mánesova 39/2, 370 01 České Budějovice (link to the map here)

Competition tobacco: Archival Dunhill De Luxe Navy Rolls

Competition pipe: own – Billiard type – preferred Savinelli Club (type 101)

Entry fee: 400 CZK (includes competition tobacco and refreshments), please send the entry fee to account: 2301725282/2010. In the message for the recipient, please include your full name and club.

Refreshments and food provided throughout the duration of the competition.

Dear pipers and friends of good cheer,

allow me a few words from the club president: come join us for a chat, good beer, honest spirits and — to be clear — at least one pipe. It’s not just about the competition time and rules, but mainly about what cannot be measured in tables: companionship, smiles, and that right piping calm.

And for those who hesitate, don’t be afraid — we don’t box into a corner, but rather into a kettle. So put on your guard, stuff wisely… and mainly: whoever goes down, let it be only to the chair after refreshments!
