English pipe ROSEBERY EXTRA (Comoy's) – 1930s, TOP condition

0.55. A beautiful collector's English pipe Rosebery Extra from the legendary British manufacturer H. Comoy & Co. (London), made in the pre-war period, most likely in the 1930s. The pipe has been smoked only minimally and very gently. The inside of the tobacco chamber has a thin, fine layer of protective carbon. The pipe is in perfect condition, clean, and without defects. Markings on the shank: on one side ROSEBERY EXTRA, on the other side the stamp LONDON MADE in the typical pre-war oval (rugby-ball) design used by the Comoy factory in the 1930s. Classic straight Billiard (Comoy catalog shape 28/29) with a smooth round shank. Top-quality old selected briar. The bowl features a beautiful flame grain, which transitions into extremely dense birdseye on the underside of the bowl and shank. The wood is free of any fills. Weight 30 g. Length 130 mm.
