English pipe London Pipe – shape 589 Bent Dublin

0.69. Vintage pipe from the classic English school, made in London (probably from the 1960s to 1970s). It is in great condition, minimally smoked. Markings on the shank: Stamped in two lines, the first line is partially unreadable (likely starts with the letter C/G, ends with ARD), the second line clearly reads "LONDON PIPE". On the other side of the shank is a circular marking "MADE IN LONDON / ENGLAND" and a stamped three-digit number in the form of 589. Shape: Elegant Bent Dublin (slightly curved shank, the bowl widens slightly upwards). Quality old briar with beautiful grain – flame grain and dense bird's eye. The wood is clean, without cracks and without fillers. The tobacco chamber is healthy, not burned through, with a thin healthy layer of carbon. The rim of the bowl is not charred, and the mouthpiece is free of tooth marks. The tenon and joint hold firmly and precisely. Weight 33 g. Length 133 mm. Height of the bowl 52 mm.
