Antique hunting pipe – First Republic

120. An antique folding pipe, commonly known as a club pipe or hunting pipe, dates back to approximately the 1920s to 1940s. It is made of high-quality briar, and the wood clearly bears the stamped inscription "BRUYERE GARANTIE." The pipe is complete, including a fully functional hinged metal ventilation cap and a bottom shank (moisture trap), which is fitted with solid decorative metalwork. A connecting cord is also included. The mouthpiece and the threaded connector (muff) between the bowl and mouthpiece are made of genuine horn. All threads are in perfect condition, fully functional, and everything fits together perfectly. Inside the bowl, there is an authentic, healthy layer of carbon with no burn-through. On the outside of the wood, there is only a small scratch approximately 5 mm long (see photo), which does not affect the overall strength or functionality of this beautiful pipe. The weight of the bowl is 42 g. The total weight is 103 g. The width of the bowl is 38 mm. The height of the bowl is 55 mm. The length of the stem is 170 mm. The total length is 270 mm.
